Medicare has removed the height requirement that was effective January 1, 2013 and you can continue to dispense custom AFO devices which extend above the ankle. These do not have to reach the height of the head of the fibula. Dr. Richie will continue to offer the new Richie Brace Ultra as it is an innovative product which has clinical advantages over other braces.
