SportFit Flex

All of our sport orthotics are multipurpose devices used for a wide range of sports and general activities and are biomechanically designed for subtalar control. These devices are recommended for active patients in need of firm control for plantar fasciitis and severe pronation.

 

We want to Feature our SportFit Flex this month. Our SportFit Flex features a semi-flexible Santoprene shell and red RF post 55 durometer. This device is designed for active patients that require moderate to severe rearfoot control but minimal arch support and pressure. Patients who can not tolerate a rigid device will appreciate the SportFit Flex. This is our most flexible sport device. The SportFit Flex will fit into most athletic shoes and can be used for any activity.

 

 

As with all of our orthotics, you can order the SportFlex as a full length or met length. You can select from one of our 7 top cover choices and add any additions/modifications at no charge. Shipping is always included in our flat rate custom orthotic pricing.

 

9th Annual Phoenix Area Sjogren's Walkabout

Thank you to everyone who came to see us in Phoenix at the Sjogren's Walkabout. Our very own Dr. Campbell is an Ambassador for the Sjogren's Foundation and we were a major sponsor for the event. Dr. Richie has advised us that there has been an increase in failure rates in random Medicare pre-payment audits in Region D for all custom AFO devices for codes L-1940 to L-1970. The below is the required documentation you will need.

1. All in One Medication Necessity Document

2. Copy of Noridian DME Justification D dated August 2013, pages 101-103.

3. Required documentation you will require if audited:

a. Prescription for the device

b. Chart notes which indicated the medical condition and reason an AFO is needed for the condition (diagnosis)

c. A document indicating the reason a Custom vs. Pre-Fab device is needed

d. Proof of service (receipt)

It is important to note that the audits are for pre-payments, no penalties or fines/punishments for providers, the claims were just denied.

More Shipping Options & Always Free

We have another shipping option available to you for your custom foot orthotic orders. In addition to our current FedEx ground service, we now offer pre-paid USPS labels that can be printed from our website or shipped to your office if you call and request them through Customer Service. With USPS you can still track all of your packages. We have tested the service and found it to be as fast as our other carriers. Additionally, this option can be easier for your office staff since they can give outgoing packages to your mail carrier instead of requesting a pickup.
